Children: Setting up a nursery.

Certainly, when setting up a nursery, your newborn is the number one factor in mind. As you carefully choose every detail in setting up the room, you must not forget to factor in yourself as you also would be spending a lot of time there nursing and taking care of the child. While having a cute and cozy environment for you and your baby is a must, convenience also matters . Delve into these tips for how to achieve a beautiful, comfortable and functioning nursery that suits both mother and child.

Okay so now your baby is on the way< you want to make your nursery as comfortable and as flexible for both you and the baby as you would be spending a lot of time in there changing diaper and nursing and nurturing your new born. Asides from the essential baby furnitures you are going to get, its important to create a space for yourself. This space does not have to cover the entire room, it could just be a chair, a rocking one preferably that would support your back while you cater to the needs of your child. It's a good idea to have a rocker or glider for comforting and feeding your baby. A rocker produces a traditional rocking motion, while a glider glides back and forth.

A glider rocker both rocks and glides.  Also a side table with drawers where you can keep a few things within your reach so you don't have to stand up all the time. Changing tables come in three major styles: open shelf, dresser and hybrid. Open-shelf changing tables contain a top shelf for a changing pad and lower shelves for diaper and  supplies. A dresser changing table usually has three drawers with a changing pad on top and can be used to store clothing. A hybrid changing table contains both drawers and open shelves. If you don't choose a dresser changing table, you'll need a separate baby dresser for clothes. You'll also need a hamper and storage for toys and other supplies.

As a new mother who is  excited to usher her baby into his/her new room, you might have the tendency to go overboard with designing your baby's room and it can become overwhelming but keep in mind that all your little really needs is a space where he can sleep comfortably, a working station for you where you can change diaper, a place for rocking and feeding and  a space for storage of clothes and baby supplies. A bassinet or a Moses basket are some mother's first choice seeing as the baby is small but as your baby gets older, you'll probably want a full-sized crib therefore its advisable to Get a convertible crib since it can serve as a toddler bed, daybed or even a twin bed and it saves you the stress of having to upgrade to a larger crib when your baby gets older.

Choosing the right colour for your baby's room is another major thing to also consider. if you read our previous post on colours, you would understand why you shouldn't just pick any colour off the colour chart and use. Generally, Blue is often associated with baby boys while pink is for baby girls but for those that don't want the regular blue and pink walls, Visit Dulux paint for colours that would suit your baby room and their psychological effects. .

Lastly, Wall decal is another thing you can use to add beauty to your little ones room. They come in different patterns and designs and yiu can also design the walls with your child's name as you would see below.
